UWEEI provides the following golfing services at Orchid Country Club (OCC):

1. Day membership at $10 per day
2. Signing up of Proficiency Certificate Workshop and Test for members
3. Free golf handicap maintenance

Note: The golf pass and the handicap maintenance are two different matters. Members who maintain their handicap under UWEEI will still need to purchase the golf pass to play golf at OCC.

Sale of golf passes at $10

a) How do I book a golf pass?
All members of UWEEI are eligible to play golf through the Union's corporate golfing membership in Orchid Country Club (OCC).

UWEEI has seven OCC Golfing membership Passes available for booking on a first-come-first served basis. 

The Golf membership Pass is valid for the day and is not transferable. To book a Golf membership Pass, you can book through phone or email. Our operating information is as follow:

Step 1: Registered as UWEEI Golfer
How to register? Simply call 6440 2338 or download the Golf registration form from the UWEEI website. A Golf Code will then be issued to you. Please follow step 2 and 3 thereafter.

Step 2: Confirmation
Check e-mail for confirmation on availability of Golf membership Pass.

Book a tee off slots at OCC. To check on the available tee off time slots, please call OCC directly at 6755 9811.

Step 3: Payment
Please enclose all cheque payments ($10 per pass per day) with the remittance advice and send it to the UWEEI address once a phone or email booking is confirmed.

Your UWEEI Corporate Golf membership Pass will be faxed to OCC. A faxed or scanned copy of the golf membership pass will be sent to you for reference.

Note: No refund or re-scheduling of dates will be allowed.

b) When can I book the tee off time slot with OCC?
For weekdays, Union Corporate Pass-holders are allowed to book one day in advance. For weekends, they are allowed to make bookings from Mondays onwards. There must be a minimum of three players for advance bookings. The names of the guests and/or members in the flight and their handicap details must be submitted before the booking will be accepted. A penalty of $50 will be imposed by OCC on members who fail to turn up for the booked tee off time slot.

c) What are the green fees at OCC?
Please visit OCC’s website www.orchidclub.com for the information of the green fees.

Members are permitted to sign-in 3 guests, however all expenses incurred by the guests will be charged at guest rate.

d) Due to unforeseen circumstances, I am unable to play golf on the scheduled day. Can I transfer the golf pass to someone else?
The Union Corporate Golf membership Pass is strictly non-transferable.

e) What do I need to bring along on the day of play?
You are required to produce NTUC Card and Golf Handicap or OCC Proficiency Certificate at the OCC registration counter. It is also advisable that you possess a golf insurance policy.

UWEEI will sign up on your behalf. All charges are to be paid to OCC directly.

b) How much is the charges for the PC test?
The current charge for the PC test by OCC is $10 + prevailing GST ($10.70).

c) Is there any penalty for members who did not turn up after registration?
Yes, these members will be barred from attending the PC workshop and test for the next 2 months.

Free golf handicap maintenance

a) What are the criteria for a member to have the golf handicap maintained by OCC through UWEEI?
It’s simple. The golfer must be a UWEEI member and have already possessed a golf handicap or applying PC or handicap test.

b) Does the free golf handicap maintenance include the golfer’s insurance?
No, the free golf handicap maintenance is solely for the purpose of golf handicap maintenance.

c) How can I maintain my golf handicap with UWEEI?
You are required to fill up a Golf Handicap Maintenance Form. Maintenance is on a first-come-first serve basis. Members who maintain their handicap with UWEEI are required to utilize the golf pass on a regular basis.
